Object Description
This extremely rare 17th century silver nutmeg grater was made C1690 by TH (Jacksons page 145) and is an unusual size of 2 inches in length by 0.75 inches in dia, it is scratch engraved to the body and has a pull off lid with a flower engraved on it, inside there is the original cylindrical silver grater that is marked with the makers mark at the end and it also bears the makers mark to the body on the end. A rare survivor of the age and in very good condition.
