Object Description
Fancy deep yellow marquise diamond ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape old cut natural fancy deep yellow diamond, SI2 clarity, with a weight of 1.07 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by six square french cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.18 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats, to an impressive flank solitaire design featuring stylised claws, a structural pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #5181688631.
