Object Description
This fine armorial early George III silver coffee pot was made in London in 1761 by Thomas Whipham and Charles Wright and measures 9.75 inches tall by 7.5 inches handle to spout and is 4 inches in dia across the base, it has a lovely coat of arms to the front inside a florid cartouche and a nicely decorated cast swan neck spout and cast ferrules with drop detailing and scrolls for the scrolled fruit wood handle. It has a stepped hinged lid that is marked with the lion passant and a plain finial atop. The pot is fully hallmarked to the side and is in excellent condition weighing 22.30 ounces or 694 grams.
