Object Description
This fine armorial and crested George II silver salver was made in London in 1737 by George Hindmarsh (specialist salver maker) and measures 11 inches in dia and has a shaped border with shell interspersed and lovely flat chasing to the face of the salver of shells, fish scales and scrolls and to the centre there is a large coat of arms inside a florid cartouche, it stands on 4 cast legs with pad feet and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back. A very good quality salver in lovely condition weighing 24.70 ounces or 769 grams.
