Object Description

This fine quality crested and armorial George III silver entree dish was made in London in 1801 by master silversmith Paul Storr. It measures 11.25in length by 7.25 inches wide and is 3 inches deep. The cast finial to the lid is the family crest of a lion atop a chapeau which is repeated to the inside of the base and the lid where it is also engraved and it bears the coat of arms to the lid. It has a gadrooned border to both the base and lid and is fully hallmarked to base and lid and in lovely condition and the quality you would expect from this silversmith weighing 57.60 ounces or 1791 grams.
