Object Description

This fine crested William III silver trefid spoon was made in London in 1699 by Lawrence Coles and measures 7 5/8 inches in length, it is crested to the front with a raised arm holding a spur and bears the engraved initials E*C over T*C to the back of the stem where it is also fully and clearly hallmarked and has a beaded rat tail to the back of the bowl, the bowl itself is well formed and of good gauge, a very nice trefid spoon.
