Object Description
This fine George II silver pint mug was made in London in 1731 by William Darker and measures just over 4.5 inches tall by 5.5 inches from the handle across and it is 3 3/8 inches in dia across the top and 3 11/16 inches across the base, it has a scrolled handle with a plain thumb piece and has a “tucked in” base and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and also bears the engraved initials ER and MR either side. It has a gilded interior and is a lovely mellow lemon now and it is free from engravings and in excellent condition weighing 11.25 ounces or 350 grams.
