Object Description

This fine Georgian silver gilt vinaigrette was made in Birmingham in 1829 by Nathaniel Mills and measures 1.5 inches in length by 1 inch wide and is 3/8 inches deep and has a lovely cast floral border to the front along with a panel of engine turned engraving and a vacant oblong cartouche and to the back it is engine turned engraving inside a cast foliate border, the pierced and engraved grill has scrolling acanthus leaves and it is fully hallmarked to the inside and also with the makers mark on the grille, a superb vinaigrette from a very sought after maker in excellent condition.
