Object Description

This fine pair of armorial Georgian silver domed entree dishes were made in London one base in 1829 and the rest in 1831 by William Kerr Reid and measure 13.25 inches long by almost 11 inches wide and are approx 8 inches tall, they have shaped bases with cast and applied flowers and acanthus leaves around the borders and the domed lids have a coat of arms below a crest and a motto FIDE ET AMORE (and a strong heart) in a banner below, they have the most fantastic handles which are scrolled and have matte engraving with lilies and lily pads and leaves and flowers. All pieces are fully hallmarked and they are in excellent condition weighing ounces or grams.
