Object Description

This case pair of Victorian silver knife rests were made in Sheffield in 1895 by Henry Atkins, they measure 3.5 inches in length by 1 inch wide and are 1.25 inches tall, they are modelled as crossed golf clubs above a tee with a golf ball either side under the club. They are fully and clearly hallmarked under the bases which have been engraved to look like grass and are contained in a burgundy velvet and satin lined case inside that is burgundy leather with a gold line around it, the clasp is good and strong, a very collectable pair of rests in excellent condition.
