Object Description

This fine George III Regency style oil and vinegar cruet was made in London in 1814 by Emes and Barnard and measure 8 inches long by 4 inches wide and has gadrooning to the shaped base border and the bottle rings, it has 2 cast and double scrolled arms either side with a large cast scrolled carrying handle that has a large acanthus leaf thumb piece and to the front is a cartouche bearing a lovely coat of arms and it stands on 4 large cast acanthus leaf and hairy paw feet, the cut glass bottles are beautifully cut with diamond cut bands and stoppers, stepped necks leading up to shaped tops with slice cutting to the lower bottle leading to a stepped foot that is star cut below, they each have silver carrying handles attached around the neck and middle – a lovely eye catching oil and vinegar in excellent condition weighing 17.90 ounces or 556 grams without the bottles.
