A very fine mid 19th century Victorian mahogany partner’s desk.
The desk has a red hide leather writing surface with nine mahogany lined drawers to one side and three drawers and two cupboards to the opposite side.
The centre drawers on both sides have red leather and gold tooled writing boards with pen and ink storage compartments.
The cupboard doors have a single loose shelf inside and a working lock and key.
The desk pedestals are rounded to the outside edge and have a recessed panel with figured mahogany and a bead edge.
The desk is of the highest quality figured mahogany and is in excellent condition.
The leather writing surface is a replacement to match the original leather on the writing boards.
The writing boards in the centre drawers can be removed if desired.
