Set of 5 mid 18th century George II mahogany Chippendale design chairs.
The chairs have a broad carved and pierced back splat and a serpentine top rail with scroll carved ends.
The supports for the top rail are fluted to the front and round at the back.
The chair legs are square to the front with a moulded outer edge and at the back square and sloping with a kick out at the tip.
The chairs have a ‘H’ shaped cross stretcher with a fret worked middle in a Chinese Chippendale design.
The chairs have drop in pad seats that will need the upholstery replaced.
The chairs are in good condition. (Circa 1750)
