Object Description
A 19th century French kingwood parquetry veneered oval shaped bonheur du jour.
The top has a serpentine shaped secretaire with kingwood tambour sliding doors, four drawers inside and gilt brass mounts either side.
The top of the secretaire cabinet has a gilt brass edge and pierced gallery.
The bonheur du jour has a kidney shaped tray between the four tapering legs and a fitted drawer to the front with a writing board that slides back.
The bonheur du jour is excellent quality with solid oak drawer linings and kingwood parquetry to all sides so it can free stand. (Circa 1870)
