Object Description
Circa 1880, French Louis XV style walnut commode. The cream and pink scagiola top with protruding rounded corners is over 3 short and 2 long chequer inlaid drawers with cast brass escutcheons and laurel-decorated ring handles. These are flanked by rounded pilasters with Neoclassical ormolu mounts. The gables have chequer and line inlay and all supported on ormolu mounted tapering turned legs.
