Object Description
A brass, six drawer pocket Monocular Telescope with black japanned grip.
This Monocular was probably made in France and would originally have had a leather case to house it when not in use.
As can be seen in one image, the eye piece has a small chip to the glass but this does not effect the viewing. The top brass edge of the grip also has a few knocks to the edge which can be seen in the same photo.
This monocular works well, although the drawers are a little stiff, and is a useful size to carry. Early 19th Century.
Closed size is given.
