This exceptional antique French silver wine cooler has a circular rounded form.
The panelled surface of this antique silver wine cooler is embellished impressive flat engraved scrolling foliate arrays, emanating from cast and applied floral and leaf decorated collar designs.
The upper portion of the body is encompassed with a layered applied moulded border to the shaped rim.
The antique wine cooler is fitted with two cast and applied scrolling leaf decorated handpieces.
As often the case, this 950 standard silver wine cooler retains the original electroplated silver liner, featuring two hinged drop loop handles to the interior.

Silver quality/purity mark: Minerva mark, 1 (.950, 950/1000)
* The renowned French silversmith André Risler and his partner Georges Carré opened their Parisian shop in 1897, providing fine silverware and stunning jewellery. Risler & Carré conquered the luxury market and won a gold medal at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900; with a continuation of successors at later events including their rise to worldwide fame from the Universal Exhibition in 1904. Their items reflected not only the Louis XVI style but also displayed modern Art Nouveau influences.
