Object Description
A large Geo II oil on canvas of an elegant lady seated with landscape backdrop,unsigned, but possibly by Charles Jervas.(1675-1739) who was an Irish portrait painter, working in England, and later succeeded Sir Godfrey Kneller,his mentor,as Royal court painter to both Geo I and II.The painting retains it’s original frame and is a good decorative painting with fine frame.English Circa 1730.
