Object Description
A mid 18th century George II Scottish ‘tassel toe’ side table.
The table has an unusual leg that is chamfered at an angle with a ‘tassel toe’ (guttae feet) and was possibly made by Alexander Peter (see Dumfries House Christie’s catalogue).
The legs are joined by a diagonal turned mahogany cross stretcher that has a block centre.
The table has a single solid front drawer that is pine lined and has an original brass handle.
This very good quality table is in good condition. (Circa 1760)
