A late 19th century George II style mahogany settee by Morison & Co of Edinburgh.
The settee has cabriole shaped front legs with a claw and ball foot and turned pad feet to the back, one of the back feet is stamped ‘Morison Edinburgh’.
The arms have padded elbow rests and a serpentine arm support with a carved scrolling hand rest.
The settee has a deep seat back to front which makes it very comfortable and is covered in a pale green floral patterned material which is worn.
The settee is very good quality made by one of the top Edinburgh cabinet makers and is in good condition and an excellent style. (Circa 1890)
