An early 18th century George II walnut veneered bureau.
The bureau has five cross banded oak lined drawers, a long slim drawer over two short drawers over two deep drawers and a cross banded writing flap.
The drawers have their original engraved brass handles and steel locks and a beaded edge.
The interior has nine pigeon holes and four short and one long oak lined drawers all with brass knob handles.
The bureau is a good colour and in good condition though the feet have had some restoration in the past.
The bureau comes with a sales receipt from October 1969 when it was sold for £400 by Turner & Sons of Dorking.
