Object Description
Circa 1770. Good quality George III brass bound octagonal wine cooler, in the style of Hamilton, Young & Trotter. The top with well figured mahogany, and tea caddy foredge, with three brass bands to the body, with 2 large cast-brass lifting handles to the sides, top is hinged and open to reveal a fitted interior which is lead lined. The wine cooler lifts off its original stand, with mouldings at the top and beading, standing on four square tapering legs with pierced quarter brackets. Excellent colour and patination.
