Object Description
Circa 1880. Exceptional quality George 3rd Sheraton-style marquetry inlaid satinwood bowfront cabinet. The shaped top with intricate foliate and ribbon inlay in exotic woods on a figured satinwood background surrounded by ebony, boxwood line inlay, and tulipwood and rosewood crossbanding. The two bowfront doors with inlaid urns with foliage and flower decorations surrounded by similar rosewood inlay and flanked by pilasters with satinwood and foliate inlay on an inlaid mahogany background. The concave sides with matching foliate and garland inlay and all supported on tapering legs with satinwood and rosewood inlay above short splayed toes.
