George III Silver Basket

Object Description

A fine antique sterling silver swing handle basket with pierced work silver body and bead borders. Lovely classical style. Weight 815 grams, 26.2 troy ounces. Length 34.8cm. Width 22cm. Height 10 cm (without handle). London 1774. Maker Robert Dennison.

Object Condition

The silver basket is in very good condition with no damage. Stamped on the body next to the handles with a full set of English silver hallmarks, handle unmarked. Small, almost invisible, repair to the handle.
