A stylish Doulton Lambeth Art pottery vase decorated with leaf and floral patterning by renowned artist George Tinworth and Mary Ann Thomson dated 1877. The stoneware vase has a double gourd shape and stands on a flat round narrow base with a round bulbous body with a pinched neck and a smaller rounded bulbous top with a short narrow flared top. The body is decorated with tall incised leaf designs with beaded patterning and overset with two bands molded in relief with small flower heads. The vase is decorated in blue and brown glazes with a mix of tones with white beading. The vase has impressed makers marks to the base along with a monogram for Mary Ann Thomson and assistant marks for Ellen B Smith with the customary monogram for George Tinworth incised to the lower body within the pattern. The vase is also dated 1877.
