Object Description
A small set of mahogany Campaign Shelves with finely turned supports. To dismantle the shelves, the ring nuts to the top shelf are removed, the steel rods that run through the boards and the columns can then be removed allowing the components to be separated to pack. These shelves are a forerunner of the standard later 19th century shelves made with brass columns that a number of makers produced. The shelves can be sat on a chest or hung by their ring nuts. Early 19th Century.
