Georgian Elm Macclesfield Arm Chair
A large early 19th century Georgian elm rush seated arm chair.
The chair has a yoke shaped top rail to the ladder back and shaped arms worn with age that are supported at the front by turned columns that run down into legs with pad feet.
The front legs are joined with a turned stretcher and pairs of stretchers join the other legs.
The seat has a replaced rushing with a loose contemporary pad seat, is comfortable to sit in and is in good order.
The chair is in very good condition for its age and an excellent colour. (Circa 1810)
