Object Description
An early 19th century Georgian mahogany cased barometer.
The barometer has a box wood edge to the case, a silverised dial, a thermometer, a convex mirror, a spirit level dial and a hydrometer at the top.
The 8″ silverised barometric pressure dial has a black pressure hand and a brass register hand.
The spirit level dial is engraved by the maker ‘Cha’s Riva Glasgow’, Charles Riva came from a family of barometer makers in Glasgow.
The barometer is in full working condition. (Circa 1825)
