Object Description

An elegant antique sterling silver centerpiece complete with matching suite of contemporary cut crystal bowls. Plain oval shape with 4 detachable arms, classical ram’s heads with looped chains, and paw feet. The weight of silver is 1297 grams, 41.7 troy ounces. Height 24.25 cms. Spread 47 cms. Bowls 29.5 x 20.5/13 x 9 cms. All pieces marked London 1807.

Biography – Mary Troby, presumed widow of John Troby and mother of William Troby both working silversmiths, mark entered as smallworker 1804.

Object Condition

This lovely antique table centrepiece is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The silver has a full set of matching English silver hallmarks which are clear and easy to read. Every piece is marked – on the upper edge of the body and each detachable arm. The glass bowls are in very good condition – 1 replacement made to match.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
