An early 19th century Georgian tortoise shell veneered tea caddy.
The shaped caddy stands on mother of pearl bun feet and has fine pewter wire between the panels of veneer.
The interior has two compartments with tortoise shell veneered lids and mother of pearl knob handles.
The caddy is in good condition, one lid handle is a later replacement and there is no key. (Circa 1820)
