Giltwood mirror with the original glass, French, Louis XV, 18th century

Object Description

Small wall mirror, the carved wooden frame with its original gilding, the geometric frame with integral floral carved “ears”, floral carved pediment and surmounted by a carved urn. Retaining the original mercury mirror plate, now degraded.

Object Condition

Small losses to the extremes of the carving.
