Object Description

This good quality crested George II silver sparrow beak jug was made in London in 1733 by John Gamon and measures 3 3/8 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches handle to spout and is almost 2 inches across the base. It is crested below the spout with a griffins head rising from a coronet and has a plain scrolled handle and spout. It stands on a stepped pedestal base and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base, it is in very good condition and weighs ounces or grams.
