Object Description

This very pretty crested and embossed George II silver cream jug was made in London in 1750 by Dorothy Mills and Thomas Sarbitt and measures 3.75 at its tallest by 3.75 inches handle to spout, it is decorated with flowers and foliage and birds and a shaped cartouche that holds the crest. It stands on three curved legs with tripod feet and has a double scrolled handle, it is fully hallmarked under the base and is in good condition weighing 2.95 ounces or 90 grams.
