Object Description
This very nice George III silver castor was made in London in 1787 by George Smith and measures 8.5 inches tall, it has bead decoration to the foot, body and pull off lid and the lid is nicely pierced and engraved with an urn shaped finial atop. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the side and to the lid with with the makers mark and lion passant, a very nice castor weighing 3.30 ounces or 102 grams.
