Object Description
This good pair of crested early George III caldron salts were made in London in 1763 by David Mowden and measure almost 3 inches in dia by 2 inches tall, they are crested to the fronts and stand on 3 cast shell shouldered legs with ball and claw feet, the borders are shaped and gadrooned and they are fully and clearly hallmarked underneath, a very nice pair of salts in very good condition weighing 6.55 ounces or 204 grams.
