Object Description

This Provincial James I silver spoon was made C1620 and is marked in the bowl only with a Cinqfoil which according to Ellis is from either Leicester or Bury St Edmunds – there is also a similar mark in Jacksons Pg 524. It measures 6.75 inches in length and has a gilded seal bearing the pin prick initials WG over WC and a partial date 162 well formed with minimal wear to one side and the spoon overall is in good condition.
