Object Description
This set of 3 armorial Queen Anne silver lighthouse castors were made in London in 1708 by Charles Adam and measure 5.5 inches the two smaller ones and 7 inches the large one. The large one has a coat of arms with crest above to the centre and the smaller ones bear the initials I over WE. They are fully and clearly hallmarked to the sides and all have a bayonet fitting with nicely pierced lids and round finials atop, the tops are also marked with the makers mark and lions head erased some of which is lost in the piercing. A lovely trio of castors in very good condition weighing 12.85 ounces or 401 grams.
