Handmade Antique Caucasian Kuba Rug- 96x157cm
This fine wool rug is an excellent example of antique Caucasian rugs. Woven by hand in the 1880s with a bold statement design. The central pattern has been woven on a deep blue field with stand out red medallions and animal motifs surrounding the design. This has then been framed by a layered repeat pattern border.

This piece is a Kuba Rug woven in Azerbaijan, which is bounded by the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. The raw materials used are of the finest quality, with only the best hand-spun wool and cotton which have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques and delicately woven on looms to create this elegant piece.
