This fine wool area rug has been woven by hand in Persia, By the Lori Community in the 1930s. The central design features a rust-red background that has been decorated with floral motifs woven in accents of orange, blue and white. Framed by a diamond motif pattern. This piece is suitable for use as a bedroom rug, living room rug, entranceway rug or dining room rug. Easily style with both modern and traditional home interiors. Object History

Woven with fine, hand-spun wool which has been dyed with organic techniques used for generations. The techniques and materials used create hardwearing pieces, made to last for generations. This piece is a Persian carpet handmade in Ardebil, by The Lori, a nomadic community found in the Balochistan region of Iran and Pakistan. The rug features traditional Tribal designs that derive from this area.
