Object Description
Henry VIII joined oak linenfold chest with three carved linenfold panels to the front and two to each side, plank top & wide top and bottom rails. The bottom rail with chamfered edges set at intervals to form the framing of each linenfold panel.
a similar form of linenfold panelling is illustrated in Victoria & Albert Museums, catalogue of English furniture & woodwork, vol. 1 – Gothic & early Tudor, plate 36.
