Object Description
A late 19th to early 20th century Hepplewhite design elbow or arm chair.
The chair back has a serpentine shaped top rail with a broad pierced splat that has carved wheatsheaf and harebells.
The shaped and carved arms have a circular carved patera at the tip of the hand rests.
The chair has square tapering legs that are joined by a ‘H’ shaped stretcher and the seat is upholstered in a red and gold striped material.
The chair is in good condition. (Circa 1900)
