Object Description

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III Irish sterling silver beer / water jug; part of our Georgian dining silverware collection.

This exceptional antique Irish silver beer jug, in sterling standard, has a plain baluster form onto a circular spreading foot.

The body of this impressive silver jug is plain and embellished with the later engraved initials ‘AP’.

This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with a cast S scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and lower terminal, in addition to a tiered, upper socket.

The jug is supported by a cast sterling silver foot accented with a moulded rim.
