Object Description

A good-sized bronze spectacle brooch, made from a single length of round wire worked into two tightly-wound coils linked by an intermediary figure-of-eight shaped coil. Supplied with a purpose-made stand.

Period: 8th-7th century BC.

Object Condition

Fine condition with minor accretions; fine patination; rear pins and catchplate missing.
