Vintage Royal Air Force watch used by RAF pilots and navigators. Issued from 1948 to 1952, this example is dated 1951. The case is in excellent condition retaining all its original military markings. The fabled calibre C89 movement has a hacking second and bears the “Kings” arrow. The dial has a very fresh appearance, and the luminous hour markers match the colour of the hands perfectly. A highly collectable military timepiece, the IWC Mark XI is considered one of the best watches ever made for professional pilots/navigators.
