Object Description
Chinese early 18th century blue and white miniature porcelain tea bowl and saucer painted with the ‘Cuckoo in the House patter’. Made at Jingdezhen during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for export to Europe.
Excellent detail showing the cuckoo above the house.
The bowl and the saucer both with the conch shell to the base and daoist emblems to the underside of the rim
The porcelain is very fine and the painting is excellent and are a complete set.
