Object Description
Chinese early 18th century blue and white slightly fluted bowl with barbed rim. made at Jingdezhen during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for Export to Europe.
Painted to the outside with ladies on terrace with a low table (Kang Table) with a jardinière of flowers to the centre of the table
The inside is painted around the rim with swags of vines with fruit. The bottom shows a supplicant scholar.
The base has a six character Cheng H’ua mark An apocryphal mark to honour and not to deceive.
