Object Description

Chinese early 18th century blue and white pear shaped bottle vase with flaring rim made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen
An unusual vase with a mixture of Islamic, Buddhist and Chinese taste decoration in an all over pattern.
The main part of the body is painted with scrolling lotus in Islamic shaped panels with ruyi headed shaped foliage. The pattern on the neck is of a triangular cell shaped design with small shaped panels of foliage
The top of the neck and below the neck a typical Kangxi hatched pattern
Double circle to the base
