Made from porcelain and painted with under glaze blue decoration to show a continuous Mountainous river landscape with Confucian scholars on a promontory, fishermen in San Pans and rocky island retreats. The landscape is fringed with various trees including pine trees. The sky shows the sun setting with a skein of geese flying near.
The brush pot is very well painted with excellent colour and the decoration is an excellent subject matter.
