Object Description
Chinese early 18th century export ware porcelain made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi. Excellent lidded potiche made at the kilns at Jingdezhen for the European Market.
The painting shows stylised roundels of foliage and flowers of lotus with bands of the same.
The colour is bright and well painted. The inside has a slight discolouration to the white glaze as shown in the photo. But overall the colour is very good. double circle to the base.
Often referred to as lidded U shaped bowls these Potiches were used storage and or serving food and are often seen in contemporary oil paintings by Dutch masters
the knop is a little lumpy which is firing
