Object Description
Kangxi – Chinese early 18th Century – Porcelain blue and white flared trumpet vase.
Painted with filled shaped lappets of climbing flowers separated by Mons shaped circles of Chrysanthemum heads. This is below a stylized wave borer around the rim
Around the waist of the vase are small Daoist emblems above a pattern of scrolling lotus flowers. Below the flowers a small neat border of geometric shapes finishes the decoration
To the underside on the base an Artemisia leaf is painted in under glaze blue.
Over all an excellent piece originally made for export to Europe.
